All courses cost £30 (£24 if you are a member of an accredited club or a sports leader).

West Lothian Council’s School and Community Sport Team are looking to recruit casual coaches to deliver coaching sessions in schools and communities across West Lothian.

Various hours (evening and weekend work may be required), hourly rate dependent on level of activity coached.

Applications will be screened on a regular basis

Essential

Possess National Governing Body or Scottish Governing Body qualifications;

Be reliable and a good time-keeper;

Be enthusiastic and approachable;

Have experience of coaching children and young people

Possess good interpersonal and communication skills; and

Have a flexible approach to working hours.

Desirable

Possession of a current, clean driving license and access to a vehicle would be desirable.

*Applicants will be invited for an interview and will be required to undergo a session observation. Successful applicants will be added to West Lothian Council’s casual coach database and will be contacted to work dependent on service requirements.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
